Projected Medicare and Medicaid Spending

This line graph shows the increasing costs of Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and exchange subsidies, as a percentage of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product. According to projections, the combined costs of these programs could be equal to 9.4% of GDP by 2035 -- thats almost 10% of our economy.
