The Concord Coalition and the Information Technology & Innovation Foundation (ITIF) will lead a forum to present a new report that lays out a productivity-focused agenda for federal science and engineering research and analyzes the effect it will have on GDP growth and the federal budget.
The paper, entitled, “Why Federal R&D Policy Needs to Prioritize Productivity to Drive Growth and Reduce the Debt-to-GDP Ratio,” was prepared as part of a new Concord Coalition initiative devoted to promoting fiscally responsible economic growth.
Speakers at the event will include numerous policy experts and business leaders including the paper’s author, Robert D. Atkinson, President of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, Marcus Peacock, Chief Operating Officer of the Business Roundtable, and Robert L. Bixby, Executive Director of The Concord Coalition.
The program, from 12:00pm – 1:30pm, will be free and open to the public.
